Since the weather has warmed up I am craving cold soup again. Any favorites in SD? Specifically, I'm jonesing for Gazpacho. Waters Fine Foods makes the best IMHO, but they only have it as an occasional, daily special. Have you recently seen Gazpacho as a regular restaurant menu item?
Love love love me some cold soup and La V used to have some of the best vichyssoise.
Bernard at Marine Room used to make a killer one with orange/yellow heirloom tomt's.
I find that cold soups aren't big on a lot of menus but there a big deal at my house and I find that making my own gazpacho is way better than what they serve at some of the finest.
Funny, I've been craving gazpacho soup too!
