Going to D.C. - Blue Ridge?

My wife and I are looking for a good casual/upscale casual place in D.C. to take some friends. I made reservations at Blue Ridge, but since then I've been seing some negative reviews on the internet, criticizing its food (sometimes) and service (almost always). Should I be looking elsewhere?

I haven't seen anything favorable so far. Can you describe a bit more what you're looking for? I'm sure we can find something great. In that area, Bistro Lepic comes to mind.

Blue Ridge is terrible; do not waste your time/money. Bistrot Lepic is good. If you're heading in to G'town, try Mendicino Grill, Bourbon Steak --a scene, but very good. Hook is another one to check out. Or for casual, Surfside is tasty.
