ISO informal dinner near 28th and 5th

I'm going with a friend to the TaDa Theater tonight. Any recommendations for a place in the area for an informal dinner that won't cost over $30 each?

    We ended up at Waldy's--fantastic choice. 800 6th Ave, which is between 28th and 27th on the east side of the street. Margherita pizza for two, shared a salad, Brooklyn Lager, Limonetta, whole thing for less than $23 total. Delicious, pleasant, perfect!

      Sorry I couldn't get back to you. Never been to Waldy's (via Chef Waldy Malouf of Beacon). Glad to hear that you had an excellent experience. We may give it a try sometime.

      Is that $30 supposed to cover everything -- food, drinks, tax & tip? Or is it for food only?

        Everything, but I doubt we'll drink. We only have a little over an hour for dinner, unfortunately.
