"Future Food" on Planet Green

has anyone seen this show? i caught several episodes yesterday when i was stuck on the couch, and it's pretty darned cool. definitely worth a look for fans of Homaro Cantu's Moto in Chicago...or anyone who's fascinated by molecular gastronomy in general.

i'm glad some of my fellow 'Hounds are enjoying it too. so far i've only caught the burger and junk food episodes (and part of the gross-out one with the kids), but i set my DVR to record any repeats so i can catch up. the science geek part of me finds this stuff fascinating...and in comparison to what these guys do, my grad school Food Science lab was laughable.

I caught two episodes last night, the burger and chicken nugget challenge and the fish challenge. They were quite inspired, plating was innovative, and I wish I had the option to taste; a science lab in a kitchen, what could be more fun. I think that these guys are on the cutting edge; that this may be the future of food. And, if it turns out otherwise, that it's just a trend, the Moto posse certainly had a good time at work.

I've been watching it for weeks now, was surprised no one here was talking about it. Great show and they really seem to be having so much fun while they are working. Not to mention some of the ideas have some real potential!

Thanks for that tidbit. I used to watch Planet Green programming frequently, then "lost" the channel number when I switched over to digital and subsequently forgot about it. Now I've got it back and will check out the show.
