Good Food & Drinks, but awful manager...

Just got back.. Cinco de Mayo and my birthday. Manager had lost my reservation and was yelling at the hostess everytime she offered me a table. When she called me over for the 3rd time and he tried to send me away, I lost it on him. He was screaming at me in the middle of restaurant. We were about to walk out when he offered me a table... He eventually apologized, but yelling at staff and customers is not a good way to manage restaurants. I worked in a restaurant for 4 years and believe the customer is always right.

Food was fine and margaritas good, but crazy manager...

I ate there once years ago, and never returned due to shockingly rude service (and prices), I really don't understand how they continue to pack in the crowds. For better food and drinks, we like Que Chula es Puebla in Sleepy Hollow, just a tad south http://www.quechulaespueblarestaurant... is not the greatest here either, but the problem is speed not rudeness, I can deal with slow service but will not tolerate being treated rudely...If atmosphere (and hard alcohol) are not important, Los Abuelos in Ossining is very good. I, too, miss Sunset Grille's happy hour.

Yes Guadalajara in Briarcliff. He was so rude I thought he was the owner. He was the manager. If he managed a restaurant I owned I would fire him, Must be family.

          Ouch, how awful!

I would never go to a place with service like that. There are too many other good ones around. Little Mexican Corner in New Rochelle is one, but that's too far for you. Don Emilio's in Chappaqua is so-so, but the food is good even if the host is a sycophant to the yuppies.

I still very much miss Sunset Grille.

Try Santa Fe in Tarrytown, it's been there forever. Great fish tacos!
