Ithaki (IPSWICH) Reopening This Weekend - Go or wait?

ipsofatso May 5, 2010 03:36 PM

One of my favorites has undergone substantial renovations - can't wait to see the new incarnation! Q: When an established place re-opens, does it make sense to wait until they get opening kinks out or should we assume they will hit the ground running....I miss their food. What has been your experience with re-opening jitters?

Knowing the owners of Ithaki, I say go. I don't think they will need to work out any kinks. They also own a pizza & sub place called Dano's in Plaistow, NH which they remodeled a while ago and it actually got better.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look for Dano's the next time I'm in Plaistow!

Hope the bar hasn't changed too much, I enjoy sitting, sipping some wine and munching on some olives out of the bowl on the bar. I'm glad to hear they're open

The bar has changed. It now has twice the seats. The place looks great.
