North End restaurant for Mother's Day

I second Lucca. Three fantastic experiences there.

They also have a full bar which is somewhat of a luxury in the North End.

We had a really nice dinner at Lucca the other night - pork chop, orchiette pasta (very cheesy), and the fish special with lots of nice spring vegetables. Downside is that it can be a little loud.

I also really like Vinotecca di Monica on Richmond Street - great food, not ridiculously expensive in comparison with other places, and everything is fresh and creative.

If your mom is a ilttle adventurous, take her to Taranta - Italian/Peruvian food. Quite delicious!
