Where to find huitlacoche (corn fungus/corn smut)?

I am looking for a market that carries corn fungus. I would prefer a place near center city but of course wouldn't mind traveling to get some. thanks !

I haven't yet seen it sold fresh, but I saw a canned variety in a hispanic supermarket (I forget where!). Perhaps you can call El Vez or Distrito to ask where they buy theirs; sometimes they use it as a garnish.

I've seen canned varieties at even regular grocery stores. I honestly am not a huge fan, so I don't know how "real" or the "quality" of it.

I have seen it in some of the mexican markets around Washington Ave - not sure which ones though - probably the one just west of 9th
