CUPCAKES

If you love Cupcakes you'll LOVE:
The Cupcake Cafe & Bakery, 297 Rantoul St.,
Beverly, MA 01915
(978) 922-9720

Hours: Tue-Fri 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sat 10-2pm.
Closed Sunday and Monday

It's a store front bakery and the building is white with a white sign so a little difficult to see at first.

She makes 40 different types of cupcakes! Can you believe it? I tried the Lemon Cream,
Boston Creme, Bananas Foster, Chocolate Mousse, Buttercream vanilla, Buttercream chocolate. All were FANTASTIC! (Well, I didn't eat them all we cut them and shared with friends). It was my first time at this place and not my last!! Honestly, the best and moistest cupcakes I've ever had. I highly recommend this place!!

Treat is still open, and excellent. I want to try that cafe de Boston - they have some amazing looking cakes and cupcakes. It looks like it's run by the Boston Kebab House people.

Wanted to follow up that I got the cupcakes from Party Favors and they were a HIT. I called a little late to place my order because we didn't know how many folks to expect and the VERY nice lady on the phone described my options (gold cake or chocolate? some of each!) and advised me on how to decorate. They also took my credit card info so all I had to do was swing in and pick them up.

I'm not so into cupcakes myself but I did try one and the cake was moist, the icing was appropriately sugary and dense. Beautifully decorated, too.

Thanks all for the tips. I will get cupcakes from Party Favors the next time the occasion arises.

Help a sister out. Is this place still turning out great, moist cupcakes? All my cake-eatin friends insist on Party Favors (for cakes) but I'm not sure where to turn for the cupcake goods.

I go to Party Favors for their cupcakes - my personal favorite as long as you don't mind the Coolidge Corner hassle.

(In our neck of the woods Lyndell's is also pretty darn good)

Yes, they are great. Moist and tasty. But you have to order in advance if you want any quantity.

Party Favors are awesome. If you're a bit further west or south, though, TREAT in Needham has some pretty darn good cupcakes.

Are they the ones ironically located next to the GNC? What do you recommend?

They are, and it wouldn't surprise me if they took over that space eventually.

I've only been there 4 times, so I haven't had everything yet. My wife raves about the Red Velvet. The Oreo one I can vouch for.

Finally got there - their cupcakes are excellent - I had the peanut butter cup ones, and red velvet. The peanut butter ganache is almost too rich - very smooth, though. Red velvet was great, too, but I had had a couple of beers before and during eating it (so I just remember "cupcake good.") Next I will try the boston cream ones, and will need to try plain vanilla and chocolate ones for a true baseline reading.

Quebrada's are pretty tasty as well, if you are in Wellesley or in Arlington.....

Contessa, I've been meaning to try this place, as I've heard good things, and I work nearby. Can you tell me the cost of each cupcake? Also, I heard that sometimes people go in, and they are pretty much out of cupcakes. When (day/time) did you go, since it seems like they had plenty of different flavors.
