Cuban Sandwich in Fort Lauderdale

Can anyone recommend a great cuban sandwich place in Fort Lauderdale? I'll be driving over from Naples and staying on the beach in Lauderdale. Any "musts" in that area?

Best Cuban Sandwiches in Broward County come from either Latin Bohemia Restaurant on Powerline & Gateway in Pompano (Very similar to Latin America diners in Miami); or El Recreo Bakery on State Road 7 & Southgate in Margate.- This is coming from a Cuban living in Fort Lauderdale!

If you're looking for cuban there is a great place in Naples - Fernando de Bull. Been around for 20+ years and in Naples that makes it an institution.

santa barbara on davie blvd and 27 ave, also lacareta at pines and university and you can never go wrong with las vegas

My husband and I love this hole in the wall in Wilton Manors. It's close to Andrews and Sunrise. There's a Chinese food place and a bar in the same strip mall. I can't think of the name, but someone once mentioned it on Chowhound. I love their ropa vieja sandwich. They have all the Cuban type sandwiches, but the ropa vieja is soooo good.

Have noticed that place forever but have never stopped....in among the car repair shops, yes? Guess I'll have to stop by soon and check it out!!

Are you talking about the Bravo Gourmet Sandwich shop near Kmart on Oakland Park Ave? Because if you aren't, then I highly recommend it. It's Peruvian, not Cuban, but their sandwiches are pretty awesome.

Nope....talking about a place on Andrews Avenue south of Oakland Park Blvd. Have to remember to look for the name next time and share it. But your recommendation for Bravo sounds great!

The place that I mentioned above is Las Colinas and they just renovated a few months ago. The place looks great. Bravo sandwiches is delish. Love their fish sandwich and be sure to help yourself to the sauces in the refrigerator.

The only place that comes to mind in Fort Lauderdale is Las Vegas on Oakland Park Blvd. I've been there a couple of times, the food is good...never had the sandwich though....and wouldn't consider it a "must." I'm in Miami often enough and get my fill of the Cuban sandwich there. Anything else you're looking to try in Lauderdale??
