Katsu-don in Harvard Square?

I'm racking my brain and coming up blank - is there anyplace in Harvard Square that I can get a katsu-don?

I know there are places not too far away where this craving can be easily satisfied, but this is extremely location-specific: Tuesday nights I pass through the square on my way to Belmont via public transportation, so Porter Square, etc. are not options.

  1. wagamama has a chicken katsu curry dish. not earth shattering or anything, but i like it.

    1. Takemura maybe? I have never eaten there, so I can't speak to quality, but I think I've seen katsu-don on their lunch menu at least.

      1. Cafe Sushi? Wagamama? Takemura? And there's Asai in Belmont.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Asai's unfortunately in the wrong part of Belmont - my range is Belmont Street/Trapelo Road, about as far as Cushing Square, and Mount Auburn into Watertown as far as Fordee's.

Takemura has a pork katsu dinner but not katsu-don and Wagamama, as autopi mentions above, has a chicken katsu curry, which is tasty but not what I was craving. I'll definitely check out Cafe Sushi.

devilham - thanks for the push to consider making my own, and I will, but it doesn't solve the Tuesday-night craving!

        2. Cafe Mami in porter sq on Massachusetts Avenue (Porter Exchange building). You will not be disappointed. Also check out their cheap lunch specials. Tampopo is also very good in the same aisle.

Yep, I knew that Cafe Mami was my best bet in general. I had been hoping for someplace less than a 5-minute walk from the middle of Harvard Square, even if not quite as good - Porter Exchange is almost a mile away (check gmaps pedometer if you don't believe me) and really, truly wasn't an option.
