Cesario's in the Marines' Memorial Building at the corner of Sutter and Mason.

Has anyone ever dined here or know anything about it? I think it's been there for quite awhile but I've never seen or heard any reports.

I would head to the top floor to the Leatherneck Lounge for a Bloody Mary, a club sandwich and a sweeping view to take your mind off the mediocrity. The setting is '60's throwback airport bar

I peeked in a few weeks ago. The tables seemed too close together and I hate glass over tablecloths. The menu didn't seem interesting enough for me to risk a meal there. I'd like to wrong, though, since it's so close to the SF Playhouse.

Yes, the glass over tablecloths kills it for me too. I kind of expected it not to be all that great, but a friend asked about it so I thought I'd pursue it a bit. I expect, given its location, it does get a lot of one time only tourist traffic--particularly from guests at the Marines' Memorial Club.

It's been a while since I've been there, BUT.... "A café located in the heart of tourist territory with a large continental menu; this is the kind of place that stays in business by serving a continual stream of people who eat there once and never return. Food is very mediocre, I hope the tourists either don't know enough to care or don't hold it against San Francisco. Not recommended"

My experience was many years ago (this century, though). Someone ought to take one for the team and see if things have changed any.
