Boston restaurant for a birthday dinner?

I'll be visiting Boston at the end of May (from Napa) for college graduation ceremonies and a birthday event for a 22 year old -- my daughter. For graduation night, we have booked at Clio for a dinner for 9 people.

For the birthday dinner (party of 3), we're looking for delicious food (any style/ethnicity is fine) with an atmosphere more lively, fun and casual than Clio. It's likely our final meal in Boston for a long period. Daughter is moving to LA. Any chowhound recommendations for a birthday spot to enjoy and remember?
