Saturday Brunch in St. Louis

My son is graduating from college in STL this weekend. The ceremony ends late morning and we were hoping to find someplace in general vicinity of Forest Park to have brunch afterwards. Any thoughts? Anyone have any experiences with Duff's. Please keep in mind that this is for Saturday since a lot of place do not offer brunch on Saturday.

Thanks much!

I've eaten at Duff's twice, and thought it was nice - altho they refuse to do separate checks.

If your son is a vegan, he would already know about the acclaimed Saturday brunch at The Black Bear Bakery, which is on Cherokee Street. The place may be a little too funky for a college graduation...

Another option would be a place that serves breakfast/brunch every day of the week: Rooster, downtown.

Local Harvest Cafe on Morgan Ford, just south of Tower Grove Park, has Saturday Brunch starting at 8am according to their website. From Forest Park you would go south on Kingshighway, left on Arsenal, right on Morgan Ford. Here's a link to their menu but they source locally so it might be worth calling ahead to check for brunch menu:

Only ate there once but the pulled pork was outstanding.

Also the Boathouse at Forest Park opens for lunch at 11am. I haven't eaten there but depending on when the ceremony ends you might find that more convenient. Also, congratulations to your son!

I am going to suggest La Dolce Via, which is a bakery and cafe at the corner of Taylor and Arco, in Forest Park Southeast, a/k/a "The Grove". Delicious food, a little pricey (but you get what you pay for), sidewalk and secluded patio seating as well as indoors. 5 minutes from either Wash U or SLU. Parking should not be a problem. http://www.ladolceviabakery.com
