BBQ places here similar to Dallas BBQ in NYC

I've been looking for a fun place to go like Dallas BBQ in NYC since moving here a couples years ago. There, they have huge margaritas, giant buffalo wings served 3 ways- dry, sweet, and spicy, tasty baby back ribs and their prices are great too!

Most of the bbq places here are too specific to the region they are trying to represent and expensive. I just want tasty ribs and chicken wings. Help!

Dallas BBQs are not known for their BBQ. They are known for their humongous, colorful drinks, the often festive atmosphere and because the food is cheap.

If you are in or near Orange County, I suggest that you try The Rib Trader. You’ll probably find the ribs, wings, shrimp and drinks to be to your liking. Unfortunately, it will cost more unless you go for Happy Hour (M-F, 3–5:30pm) to maximize festivity and minimize cost.

I’m curious; have you ever eaten at Dinosaur BBQ in NY? If so, what did you think?

I have, and I thought it was TERRIBLE. Well, ok, that's probably an exaggeration, but we really felt it was on par with Tony Romas.

Famous Dave's, a chain restaurant, with local presence may be the type of place you are looking for; it has ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, etc.

I'm sorry, but Dallas BBQ is vile. You'll do better at the local Chili's. For good parboiled baby backs, try Houston's.
