Good dessert places between Eglinton & Yonge and say 5000 Eglinton West.

I have to make that trek in a few weeks and I'd like to multi-task! I am particularly fond of cupcakes (I know about Flour) and brownies, chocolate chip/chunk cookies. But open to other thoughts.

I'm going to guess you like chocolate and this bakery don't have brownies or anything like that but it has really good cakes. They're petit fours so...it's sorta...like a cupcake...in size.

The style is french but the flavours have a french influence on them so the sweetness is a bit more subtle but the flavours are all there and I think the cakes are incredible. Unfortunately haven't been there for awhile so I don't know what they have right now. But if they have strawberry lavender I love that. If you want more chocolatey options they had l'opera and they always seem to have chocolate eclair. They also have macarons.

It's along yonge, practically in the middle of eglinton and davisville. There's a restaurant called Le Coquine and it's right beside it around the corner.

If you want cupcakes, if you go along yonge towards Lawrence there's the cupcake shoppe. My friend likes it.

      You mean La Bamboche?

I've been to the Cupcake Shop---I'm not really a fan.

It sounds like there is zilch on Eglinton West. Pity.

Phipps (on Eglinton about a block west of Avenue Rd.). Great cakes, brownies, etc. (I don't think there are any cupcakes though). There's also a design your own cookie place on Eglinton, just east of Avenue, but I can't remember what it's called and I haven't been there -- there are postings about it on this board if you do a search.

I know Phipps very well--they make very good pecan pies and upside down apple cakes. I also know that cookie place--Designer Cookie. I'm not as familiar with the area beyond Bathurst---and 5000 Eglinton is FOREVER far away!
