Recs needed for bridal shower/brunch venue

Hello,

I need some suggestions for a bridal shower venue.
- 40 people, all women, ranging from ages 17 to 60+
- budget concious event, hoping for $20 per head
- alcohol not needed
- open on Sundays

The Sweet Gallery on Mount Pleasant Rd has an upstairs room that accommodates 40 people. I'm sure they could come up with a group menu or platters to suit your budget.

Try Coquine (on Yonge south of Eglinton). They have a private room that holds 36 (maybe they could squeeze in 40?) and their brunch mains all seem to be about $10 to $14 (though the steak and eggs is $18). It would make a nice shower venue, IMHO.

You can try Mother Tuckers or the old standby, Mandarin which has some private dining areas. We've had many large family birthdays there. Where do you live in the city?

Hot House Cafe? I attended a small bridal shower there and it was around $20 per person. It also looked like they had a semi-private room next to the buffet area which may be large enough for your group.

I agree, Hot House for Sunday brunch is an excellent choice. Great buffet selection and the food is good. Don't forget to try the freshly squeezed fruit punch.
