What's up with Wagamama?

Does anyone know the story with Wagamama on 7th Street? The permit on the door is dated August 22, 2008! The space has been gutted for a very long time with no progress. At least the Pitango across the street looks about ready to open!

you are correct about the location, and at present we are researching and exploring all opportunities in america, washington dc being one of them amongst many others, once we have completed our research and have a better idea of our position we will let our guests know if we are proceeding.

Thanks for the info. Who knew so many words could say so little? It's very odd. They've had huge Wagamama signs up in the windows with vague opening dates "Coming 2009" for almost two years now. Something is up. Oh well.

Metrocurean contacted them and they made a very safe statement about looking in the States that seemed to convey it wasn't happening.
