pelican club vs rambla

Thanks to fellow chowhounds I found out dick and jenny is closed tonight. I was able to get reservations at rambla and pelican. Club. Tomorrow is Irene and last night was terrific at emerils. Which should I do this evening?

I really like Rambla. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I like the dates, their fried oyster dish and a steak dish that they serve over chicory or escarole. Also delicious is their smoked salmon. The table seating is a bit different. They have some large tables in the middle that can be used for large parties or community seating. I always ask for a table that is not a community table.

Apples/oranges. Rambla is a tapas bar with a modern vibe/sound. Good to excellent food. Pelican Club is a fine dining rest. I have not been in awhile. Try a chow search for reviews of both
