I am looking for an Asian grocery store/market to pick up a few staples that goes beyond the international aisle of Shop Rite. I know the chances of one in Sussex Co. are slim, so I'll be happy with anything within an hour or so drive. Any recc's for some of the better ones in northern NJ would be welcomed - thank you!

I'm not really the one to ask, but friends tell me that the Asian Market on Rt. 10 West in E. Hanover is very good. Depending on where you are in Sussex Cty, that might be less than an hour.

In Parsippany on Route 46 West, there's an Asian Market with prepared foods, produce, dry goods. fish monger and butcher. It leans towards Chinese products, but it also stocks foodstuffs for Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and Filipino items. The name of the market is Top Quality. If you want to venture into Bergen County, there are a number of H-Mart supermarkets, a Chinese Market in River Edge and a Mitsuwa Japanese Supermarket in Edgewater.
