Going to Tokyo+Kyoto+Osaka once more, what places should I cover?

I went one time last summer, but this time I'm bringing back my girlfriend to Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto for 9 days. I just want some advice on what restaurants I should visit and what kind of foods I should try. I wanna try all the iconic dishes in some of Japan's best hole-in-the-wall places. Okonomiyaki, Sushi, Ramen, Sukiyaki, etc.

Last time for ramen I went to Jiro Ramen Mita Honten by Keio University, which was a exercise in endurance. But I definitely can't take a girl there. XD For sushi, I went to a place at the Tsukiji fish market and I intend to try Sushi Dai when I go back. What time you think I should go?

As far as other restaurants, I am completely clueless. Help? Thanks in advance.

    hi, i live in osaka.
    i recommend
-'tako tako king' for takoyaki (octopus ball).
-'okonomiyaki sanpei' for negi yaki (scallion pancake: kind of okonomiyaki)
both are located in shinsaibashi area.
    enjoy!

I second Tako Tako King, however, it is definitely better at about 11pm after a few beers and you want a few more and a bite to eat.

      hi again,
another food you might want to try is udon. especially curry flavored udon.
the place called 'ganso karee nabe izakaya miyagamiya honten' is great.
if you find difficult translating, just bring pictures of what you want to eat when ordering.
