African in Harlem?

  • 3

Going to a show at the Apollo tonight with my wife, and trying to decide between:

Africa Kine
Le Baobab
Dibeterie
Keur Sokhna

Any recommendations/thoughts would be very welcome.

  1. Of those four, I'd lean toward Keur Sokhna Plus...

...though note that it's moved from 116th St. to 2249 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd., near 132nd St. La Marmite, just up the block at 2269, gives you a second option on that stretch.

Dave, 2269 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd is now Yatenga French Bistro, serving the likes of moules and steak au poivre.

Can't find any info on a current location on La Marmite. Did they go out of business completely? or just leave Manhattan?

In its latest location, La Marmite never had many customers that I saw, and it was closed at least once for failure to pay unemployment taxes. Out of business, would be my guess.
