Hi, grnid. Talking of sale, Macy's is until Monday on "friends & family sale" instore and online for which everyone can download coupons and code (MACYSFF) at their website. The 25% off includes ALL-CLAD, too. Plus free shipping more than $99. Also, until Sunday, WS puts LCs in Azur Blue, Sonoma Green, and Ciron on disc by 20%. Hope someone benefits from it :)
The AC 11 inch french skillet with domed lid (Macy's exclusive) is now only $59 in store (before tax). $20 OFF! Tempted, yes but I have the AC12 inch fry-pan, so no need :)
Also, 3.5 qt wide oval in Azur Blue is now nicely priced around $100 at WS. It is not the all-round player with the side short but it is cute niche addition. I think I have never seen 3.5 qt wide oval at the LC outlet stores, if I am correct. Probably will be available soon?
Thanks to someone who posted about a 40% sale at a LC outlet in CA I was able to get a 5 qt. dune oval for about $113. I had just bought the 4.5 in Bloomies for $139.99, but this was a better deal and I returned the other. It was a second but there's nothing wrong with it. The only think I could find was maybe a touch of the dune color on the dark rim of the pot. I've seen first quality with much more overspray than this tiny bit on the rim.
I also got the 10" skillet in Cobalt for only $60. Also picked up two cheap soup bowls. Need to buy one more to make 4 (I had one) and a 20 oz.mortar and pestle for $24 that sells for $50.
insomnia+ws email re fabulous le creuset sale on dutch ovens = me, now impatiently waiting on my newly placed order to be shipped. I was worried about the CH posts re the square grill pan, but decided to take the plunge...and since I'm in California, I'll definitely head to an outlet in the next few days to see what else I can pick up--thanks for the additional tips!
