for 100$ pp
My family is coming up the end of May to visit. What would be a good bet for around $400? We are adventurous eaters and are considering Mado. We went to North Pond a few years ago and were thoroughly impressed. Thanks

The number of places in Chicago where you will typically pay significantly more than $100/pp for dinner including moderate wine and tax/tip is small, no more than a dozen, and consists of our "haute cuisine" restaurants. Heck, they're easy to name: Alinea, Everest, Charlie Trotter's, Avenues, TRU, NoMI, Spiaggia, Les Nomades, Schwa, L2O, Bon Soiree, and maybe Sixteen. That's it. So don't go to any of those, and you ought to meet your price target anywhere else.
There are lots of great restaurants in Chicago, of all types and in all locations. I haven't been to Mado, which is in Wicker Park and specializes in cuisine with a Mediterranean focus, and generally gets positive reports. If that sounds good to you, go for it!
