Ice cream in Madison, Wis., but (gasp) not Babcock Hall ice cream?

Local, artisanal, interesting ice cream or gelato?

Yeah, Chocolate Shoppe is the best in town. I've never dared try the Blue Moon but the Zanzibar Chocolate is the chocolatiest chocolate ice cream you'll ever try. I like Fat Elvis, too.

Then you should definitely try 'Dark Side of the Moon' Zanzibar Chocolate swirled with Blue Moon.

Fat Elvis is the best! Although I have been known to have a hot fudge sundae with Espresso Oreo ice cream.

Okay, I gotta ask - what is "Fat Elvis"? I assume it's a flavor, but what flavor?

BTW, blue moon ice cream has its own entry in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Moo...

Remember, most ice cream shops are happy to give you a free sample of any of their flavors. If you're brave enough. :)

Banana ice cream with fudge, and peanut butter ripples.
