Where is Chef Hallman Woods III?

Doing a little reminiscing with a friend about good food and we both wondered whatever happened to the wonderful young chef of Le Rosier restaurant in New Iberia, LA. He was selected as one of the best up and coming chefs by Food & Wine (?) in the late 90's or early 00's. Where is he and what is he doing? thanks

Yes, best new chef, Food & Wine, 1995. From their "where are they now" on the website:

"Tired of putting in 16-hour days behind a stove, Woods now works as a restaurant and food-sales consultant for Conco Food Service, a New Orleans–based supplier. He still cooks as a guest chef at a few local restaurants, like Columbia Café in Shreveport, Louisiana, and hopes to eventually find a corporate chef position".

Well, that solves that..many thanks for laying to rest that occasionally nagging question.
His father was a superb soup maker...

Good to know he is alive and doing well. He was and is, a very kind young man with a great deal of talent.

I realize this response is waaaay late, but I wanted to let you know Hallman now is working as executive chef at my family's company Uncle's Barbecue out of New Iberia. He is going to help us take our unique and delicious line of sauces, salsas, jellies and more to the next level, and we couldn't be more excited. He is an extraordinary chef!

I haven't seen or heard of him since they sold the place but you could always check with the family. I keep forgetting to do it.

I could have asked his father as well, but I am not a close acquaintance and quite frankly, was worried that something had happened to Hallman.
