Opinions vary on Fogo de Chao. I have been to several including those in Brazil. For the best value go at lunch.
The steak quality is not bad, although there are far better pieces of meat in the twin cities, You get alot of steak for the money. In my opinion, the salad bar is second to none. It has a great combination of vegies, meats and cheeses.

Don't know about the one in MSP, specifically, but the one in Indy has okay meat. I'd stick with the salad bar, however -- incredible. Lots of interesting salads, great smoked salmon and other meats, much more interesting than the carnivore overload.

It's a fun place to go if you've never been to a churrascaria, but once you go you probably won't want to go back. It's a fun experience, the meat is all well seasoned and well prepared, but I wouldn't really say it's worth the price tag. Especially when there are so many great restaurants downtown.
I will say, however, that it can be a nice place to go before a show at the theatre, since you're not waiting for courses.

How much is the salad bar on it's own? No prices are listed on their website.
