that has something cool for kids too...like floating sushi boats or something along those lines. Any ideas? We are taking my nephew out for his 10th birthday and want to make it something special.

How about teppanyaki at Akasaka on West Beaver Creek (Richmond Hill) or if it more about he kids and not the quality, teppanyaki at Taste of Japan on Woodbine Ave (Markham) or Memories of Japan (North York). Is Memories of Japan still there actually? Haven't driven by there in a while.

Akasaka looks amazing, thanks! I had terrible food years ago at Memories of Japan and will never go back...

Akasaka is a good choice. There's teppanyaki and cooked cooked choices, yet pretty decent quality sushi and sashimi for raw fish fans. I went a year or so ago with 5 others. 3 of us ordered sushi/sashimi, one ordered cooked fish and the other two enjoyed a teppanyaki mix of chicken and beef. Everyone left happy with the meals they had. The teppanyaki chef was engaging and even encouraged diners to try their hand at his teppanyaki tricks. It was a fun night.
