Need input on my choices for this weekend in Paris

I had previously posted that my wife and I are from Texas and are making our first trip to Paris this weekend and are looking for some recommendations near our hotel. We are staying right near the Louvre.

I gathered recommendations both from this board and elsewhere and have put the following list together. Could anyone please comment on any of these places and let me know what you think. Any other places that are similar food but might be better would be appreciated as well. We are mostly looking for some comfort food items at a reasonable price.

Croques : Café Marly or Brasserie Flottes

Crepes: Creperie Beaubourg, Creperie Josselin, Breizh Cafe

French: Le Souffle, L’Ardoise, Les Papilles, La Table D Eugene, Frenchie

Bakery/Baguettes: Gosselin Philippe

Dessert: Berthillon, Pierre Herme

  1. At Gosselin, only go for the baguette tradition. Everything else is not good and you better walk a bit further down Saint Honoré to Julien.

    1. For reasonably priced French comfort food that's also delicious, I'd add Drouant and Au Gourmand, both within walking distance of the Louvre. For dessert, add Jacques Genin, even if you only buy some of his killer caramels.

      1. Restos all fine but someone here was grousing about l'Ardoise (not me).

        1. It's difficult to go wrong in Paris. Enjoy.

          1. La Régalade just opened a new location last night around the corner at 123 rue Saint-Honoré. I think that their three-course menu for €33 is a steal. They're closed Saturday and Sunday, though - does your trip include a Friday night? If so, their number is +33 (0)1 42 21 82 40.

            1. Pot O Lait, on rue Censier, is my favourite creperie, over the ones you mention.
