What does dinner cost at El Bulli

I doubt it. It is closing at the end of 2011, and after a few years break Adria plans to open a culinary institute and will not re-open El Bulli in the same form it has been in the past.
A meal at El Bulli was €230 last year (wine extra). It is a set menu for lunch or dinner, it only opens for lunch or dinner each day, not both, and it only opens for six months each year.
Fully booked for 2010, reservations for 2011 probably open in Jan next year.

Heading to Seville, Madrid, & Barcelona in mid-May... Is there an up-and-coming El Bulli substitute? I want to try some inventive cuisine while i'm out there!
Four outta five on that list are in the San Sebastian area, so it's a bit out of the ways.

Ferran Adria, according to an article I read a while back, will turn focus on his hotel's restaurant outside Sevilla: http://www.elbullihotel.com/benazuzaw...

Here's a very interesting (and funny!) blog by one of our own Chowhounders on La Alqueria at the El Bulli Hotel.

It is worth the visit, I have been to both and La Alqueria does capture the El Bulli spirit. It used to do El Bulli's greatest hits with the year the dish was served at El Bulli noted on the menu. The hotel is pretty cool as well.
