Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Boston (and suburbs)

Hot Pot Buffet, Chinatown

Just came back from lunch at Hot Pot Buffet in Chinatown. It's hot pot, but with a twist. You order (and eat) as much as you want, and they have some interesting choices. Lunch is $14.95 and dinner is $19.95. The lunch offerings include the usual chicken, lamb, fish, bok choy, etc., but then you get options like fried gluten balls, quail eggs, pumpkin, octopus, and other items. My friend and I enjoyed it. Have a big appetite before you go.

    1. Went here a week or so ago. I thought that this might be the reincarnation of Little Q, but it isn't, as far as I could tell. It's pretty good, but there are no sides as other places have available, just hot pot. Also, there is bubble tea available though I didn't see it listed on the menu anywhere.

If you want to gorge, go here. If you are more selective and not as hungry, go to Shabu Zen.

Little Q is opening on Mass. Ave. in Arlington. They have a sign up, but the insides still need some work.

Is it close to the movie theater on mass ave? Or is it further up the road?

196 Massachusetts Avenue, which I think is near the movie theater.

So I take it Chinatown/Financial district is out? I guess I haven't been up on the latest news to where Little Q is going.
