Fuddruckers in Raleigh and Cary CLOSED!

I always liked Fuddruckers. Great quality beef, fresh rolls, good condiments. Nice work for a chain.

The company filed bankruptcy according to the N&O.

I've always seen Fuddruckers as sort of the Mendoza line in terms of burger quality. If a restaurant can't make a better burger than Fuddruckers, they really shouldn't bother. And there are a LOT of places that don't make a better burger than Fudds.

I've never been to a Fuddruckers and at this point in life, don't really see the big deal. However, what about the one in Durham?

The Durham location is closed as well. The corporate web-site lists the Raleigh, Durham and Winston-Salem location as closing and recommends the Greensboro location as an alternative.

Check their website--only 24 locations are closing. Not that you'd drive to Greensboro for Fuddrucker's, but the one there will remain open.

The Fuddruckers in Greenville NC also closed. Sign on the door blamed the economy.

I hadn't eaten there since I moved down here from Chicago. They made a good burger. There are lots of other places around that make a good burger like Sawmill Tap and the other locations in that group.

I used to love Fuddruckers but have not been to one in many years.
