Group Lunch Near Conventn Ctr?? Help!
I need to reserve tables for 24 people within a short distance of the Convention Center, for a weekday lunch. Concerns: Not too pricey (non-profit group), variety of food (soups/salads/sandwiches/burgers, or maybe light Italian but not Il Fornaio), reasonably quick service. I have never been to Sacramento, so your help is greatly appreciated. I have looked at several other posts on Chow, but nothing seems to fit the bill.

There are lots of good choice going to the northern blocks from the Capitol/Covention Center (can't remember the name of the street - L or J street? ) I was surprised when I finally learned about this restaurant district in Sacramento as I had long felt it was one huge dining wastelands too.
And I am fan of Frank Fat's the legendary old Sacto watering hole within a few blocks of the Capitol (Convention Center). Chinese food with banana creme pie for dessert, how can you beat this?
