Work related dinner suggestions?

Hello,

I am looking for a restaurant for a department dinner. There's only 3 of us, so no size concerns :) I need good food, but nothing too exotic as my boss is not very adventurous.
Criteria: moderately priced (in the neighborhood of 10-15/entree). Liquor license, with creative cocktails a plus. West/South suburbs or Minneapolis. Vegetarian friendly.

On another note...Rake Mag and City Pages used to have decent restaurant search engines. What happened to that?

Thanks!

My first two ideas were Lucia's and Cafe Levain, but I think that their price range (esp. Lucia's) may be just higher than what you're looking for. Also, they both have good wine lists, but are light on mixed drinks. (Levain may only have wine and beer.)

Broder's Pasta Bar would also be a solid choice although I think they're only wine and beer as well.

My other thought was Duplex. It's got the right price range, has a full bar, and good food that's not too out there. My only thought is that the ambiance is not quite as staid as the other two. I don't know if that makes too much of a difference. There are pictures of the place on Duplex's website (duplexmpls.com).
