very tricky guest list...

So a couple of friends, myslef and my daughter are going out to dinner tonight and we need some ideas. I am so not a foodie, in fact one of my fave restaurants is the Outback (i know), but my husband specifically requested that we go somewhere new and fun. My friend is a vegetarian and I am a picky eater (i'd be happy with a burger and fries) and we are also bringing my almost 2 year old daughter out...help me out here. we're trying to stick south of boston towards quincy if possible!

Inn at Bay Point may be a good choice. Their menu although heavy on the seafood, has some other nice options, plus you get the water views. I love the Fat Cat, but it is usually mobbed and it might be overwhelming for a 2 year old.

I haven't been there but I sent my sister and parents (not very adventurous eaters) to Grumpy White's in Quincy, based on recommendations here. They loved it.

I know I am late to the party, but, am I the only one who gets cold food (fries and other sides and dishes that are supposed to be hot) at Fat Cat? The only reason I return is because some friends like it and I don't want to be a pain. I always hope things will be different. Have mentioned this to management.
