Large group at last minute!

Hey everyone -

So I just found out that I have to get a reservation tomorrow night (Saturday) for 9 people at a reasonable time (not 5:30 or 10:30). Does anyone know of someplace that may be able to take 9 without too much hassle? I realize this has been asked before but I'm a terrible searcher.

Better yet - A walk-in only restaurant that accomodate 9 fairly easily.

Thanks in advance

    Start calling ASAP...

    The Smith
    Jane
    Otto
    Alta
    'inoteca (LES and Gramercy one)
    Freemans
    Blue Ribbon Bakery
    Public
    Kuma Inn
Perbacco (a family member went recently with a large group)
Hecho en Dumbo (larger parties are encouraged to call ahead, not sure exactly what that means as they typically don't take reservations)
    Clinton Street Baking Company
    Pastis
    Tia Pol
    Landmarc
Tabla (I think RGR mentioned they could accomodate 8, dunno about 9)

Did you look on OpenTable.com already?

Okay - problem solved (kind of). We got an 8:30 at Quinto Quarto. Reviews are not great of this place...but I'm happy to have something relatively hassle free.

thanks for your quick reply Kathryn.

FYI re: Tabla: We were 8 at a round table. Nine would be a tight squeeze. But they can certainly accommodate larger parties upstairs at strung-together tables.

I'm looking to make a reservation for 8 people, 2 of whom are out of towners who we want to take to a fun place but are somewhat picky eaters. I was thinking Otto but checked out some of the other places you recommended-- I like Otto because of the huge round tables. Do any of the other places you mentioned have round tables for larger groups? Odd question, I know.

Asia de Cuba has some huge round tables. Although not a top pick on this board, out of towners will be impressed.
