Dinner near the Madison hotel

I'm going to be in DC next week for work, and will be staying at the Madison on 15th and M street NW. I was wondering if there are any places nearby for a quick dinner.

I, a foodie from Minneapolis will be travelling next week staying at The Madison on business, solo. Any recommendations for the solo dinner diner?
No real preference on food type (although I do enjoy housemade charcuterie), or cost; just looking for a place I can relax at, maybe at the bar, and get a good meal. Thanks.

You're around the corner, pretty much, from Tabard Inn. The bar is small, so you may have to get there early or be prepared to wait, but you could also bring a book and curl up on a couch by the fireplace.

I'm not a picky eater I pretty much will eat anything but seafood.
From previous experiences I'll probably be working until 8-9 o'clock

I like Malaysia Kopitiam, which is around 18th and M. It's open till 10 during the week -- 11 on weekends. I think Maoz is open until at least that late as well.

With emphasis on "quick", Maoz Vegetarian is at 18th and M -- really good falafel. It's fast food - you order at the counter. More info is posted about it here:

You will be within walking distance of many places. Like WoodlyPark Hournd said, it really depends on your taste and budget.

I used to work on the same block as the Madison. 2 fast and inexpensive places I liked were Naan & Beyond and Julia's Empanadas.
