Saturday Breakfast near Union Square Greenmarket

We're going to the Greenmarket Saturday morning - where's a good place for breakfast near there? We'll be too early for brunch or lunch. Probably around 9-9:30 a.m.

The best breakfast, if you don't mind spicy, is right in the Greenmarket: there is a family selling tamales, etc. that are excellent. They are operating under the radar so they don't stay in one spot for long - generally on the west side. Keep your eyes peeled and you will be rewarded!

Thanks for your suggestions. We ended up getting delayed, so just grabbed a quick bite
at City Bakery. Haven't been to Friend of a Farmer in years. And Kathryn, you came up
with some new places. Can't wait to try them.
