There Was Once a Chocolate Place in Yaletown.........

About 18 months ago I had the Best Cup of Hot Chocolate ever-Venezuelan IIRC- @ this chocolate place in Yaletown.

Couldn't find it today though-nor even remember the name-it was on the south side of a street like Mainland.

  1. Was it Chocolatl? (Now closed).

(Have you tried Dulcinea on Denman? Very good, IMO).

Also give the hot chocolate a try at 49th Parallel on 4th (the chili version is great!).

Yes that's right it was Chocoatl.

Visited Dulcinea once earlier this year and it was the Second Best hot chocolate I've ever had (!) but just too far to travel today-Thanks for the input.

The Chocoatl guy is still there - it's just that it's now (unfortunately) called Eataly and more of a soup/sandwich place. He still does a hot chocolate, but the last time I checked it's been skinnied down to two choices.

i guess he has partners. as far as i know eataly is owned by at least a couple of people. one a chef at local hotel.

I could be completely wrong, but isn't he also connected to RTL (across the street)?

Okay - I was there today and saw four hot chocolate options: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, hazelnut and lavendar.

      2. Minks has good hotchocolate and yummy chocolate treats. It's in that little courtyard at the foot of..... Hornby? Might be Howe....in between Hastings and Cordova.
