BMartin Apr 21, 2010 06:06 PM

The date is May first--in the lot across from the old location in St. George. Yeah!

Thanks! I'm looking forward to this.

I think there's now some sort of farmer's market on the south shore too, but I'm not sure it's under the NYC Greenmarket auspices.

The South Shore market is in the parking lot of Panera Bread by the Outerbridge, and it is not under the Greenmarket auspices. After a year of intending to go, I finally made it down there Sunday. It's basically the owner of Chez Laurent selling breads, tarts, salad dressings, jams, etc. and the Decker farm selling eggs from the farm, as well as cheese, produce, etc. from local and distant farms. Good stuff, but so far out of the way for most of us.

The Advance has an article about the Greenmarket today and the South Shore greenmarket will be on Richmond Avenue.
