Help me round out my Napa dinner plans

  • 7

Hi - I'm new to chowhound since there's not a lot of restaurant action in my hometown in VA but have been collecting a lot of great advice to help me prepare for an upcoming trip to Napa/Sonoma. We currently have one night open on our dinner plans so was curious to see what you all would recommend to round out our experience. So far I've reserved Ad Hoc for Thursday, Meadowood for Fri, and The Girl & the Fig for Sat (staying in Sonoma Sat night). Also was planning Mustard's for lunch one day based on a rec from a friend (but also hear it may have gone downhill recently?). Looking for a place to eat Wed night after we get into town and any other don't miss lunch spots. Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks wolfe. I had looked at Ubuntu after some of the other reviews here. My husband wasn't excited about it so I put it on the list for another trip with girlfriends.

    2. Bottega; Michael Chiarello's new restaurant which was quite exceptional last evening....

I would go with Bottega or Bistro Jeanty in Yountville. We have enjoyed two wonderful dinenrs at Bottega. REDD in Yountville is another great choice. :)

Thanks! We took the suggestion for Bottega's for Wed. night. The menu looks great and I think Italian will be a nice add to the other cuisines on our itinerary.
