Szechuan hot pot in SGV - recommendations?
Looking for the best, spiciest...
I realize there seems to be no consensus on this one, but looking for recommendations.
I'm looking for something along the lines of the bubbling cauldron of "hell broth" Bourdain had on his visit to Chengdu. Any suggestions?

Haven't tried it yet but it's been a somewhat recent addition at Chung King. You can pick and choose which items you want to add to the pot and I don't remember too well but I think they can give you broth and/or oil as your base (not mixed; in different segments of the pot).

re: crystaw
In Monterey Park it is NO longer Little Fat Sheep. Now it is called Hot Pot, Hot Pot!
I talked to the person at the counter the last time we were there (2 Fridays ago). He mentioned that the original Little Fat Sheep franchise run from the HQ in Beijing was not keeping up its standards. So the owner at the MP location bought out his franchise contract and renamed it Hot Pot, Hot Pot. The trademark painted on the glass has also changed.
Same food, different name. Fwiw, though I am a hot food fiend, I find their regular broth more flavorful. But our meals are not complete without the split hot and normal side. The regular broth tastes even better after the hot broth. And for a carnivore, I find the flavor combination better with the vegetable and herb selections.
