Macarons in RI?

Does anyone know where to find macarons in RI (and I don't mean "macaroons")...

  1. I saw some at Cafe Choklad a month or so back, but not since. It may be worth calling them to see if they'll carry them again anytime soon. They were variously colored, and looked like they were baked by someone else...

Thank you. I can't believe they're so hard to find in this state -- they're very trendy right now all over the country...

      1. I've heard that Olga's has been selling them at the Saturday Farmer's Market in Providence. Haven't tried them, though Olga's does most things really well.

Thank you! Next weekend I'm going to the Pawtucket Farmers Mkt so I'll check their table...

        2. Funny! I never heard of a macaron until I saw the recipe on THIS website with its delicious looking photo. I assumed it was a typo or a variation on the spelling! So much so that when I saw this post, I had to inquire. Check out the recipe on this site with ganache--they look heavenly and appear pretty easy to make on your own.

I've seen them in my travels, they're big in NYC and Phoenix. I was hoping to find some in RI... they're SO fantastic. Light and crispy, chewy, and the filling is amazing. It's the most delicious cookie I've ever tasted... and I can't find any around here!!!!

          2. OMG, I had some for the first time in years today! There's a kid who sells them at the market in Lippitt Park on Saturdays. I think the name of this business was Moondust Macarons. They were soooo perfect.
