mozzarella ciliegine with cream
I just bought some of this at whole foods. I'm not quite sure what to do with the cream. I was thinking of some of it, along with the mozzarella on a pizza. Is this something that can be done? What else could I do with it? Are there any good recipes....or should I just spread it on a piece of bread?
I've never seen this type of thing before and google searches aren't helping me out here.
Anyone every had this before? How did you eat it?
I'm acquainted with Ovolini, Bocconcini, Manteca and Ciliengine mozzarella and the liquid it's typically stored in but I've never found it in cream. Inasmuch as mozzarella wouldn't be stored in anything the couldn't be used in a food product I suppose you could use the "cream" as an ingredient in pizza - not sure I would though. Might be put to better use in a salad dressing.
