The OP is referring to Deli Cart sausages, from David Gordon Co. of London, Ont.
They were carried in some Dominions, but not Metro.
They are in Costco every summer, either pork sausage or all beef . I like the pork sausages, but the all beef have their following as they are similar to in taste profile to Nathan's.›2 Replies -

My parents recently went to a hot dog wholesale/vendor up in North York (Soloway's Deli & Hot Dog Emporium at 913 Alness St, 416-661-3336 ).
OMG! The sausages are soooooo good on the BBQ. Just like the street meat and not "sawdust" tasting like a lot of the grocery stores. They are big too. You can also get those authentic yellow buns with the poppy seeds.
And the price: 5lbs for $11...cant beat that.
I plan on visiting for myself soon.
