Dining with a dog in southern Maine
I'm going up to Portland in June with my dog for a few days. Looking for places to eat with outdoor seating that will allow dogs.
We usually stop in Kittery on the way up. Does Loco Coco's Tacos have outdoor seating? We've dined at Bob's successfully but looking for something different.
We've stopped at the Lobster Shack in Cape Elizabeth and the patio at Stonewall Kitchen in York. But looking for more options.
I've checked the dog friendly sites but some of the restaurants mentioned have closed, and I'd rather hear first hand from dog owners that have successfully dined places or people who have seen dogs eating in restaurants.
Places I've heard about include:
Gritty McDuff's
Mims - I think they closed
Porthole Restaurant
Portland Lobster Company
Silly's
Anyone brought a dog to one of these places? Also, my dog is big so he's not going to sit in my lap. A very congested patio area probably wouldn't work well.
Also, any places in between Kittery and Portland worth a stop?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Any place with an outdoor space would probably be fine--definitely the Porthole and Gilberts's on the water. Dogs can't generally go inside restaurants (at the Porthole, dogs are welcome on the deck but they can't walk in through the restaurant.)

Our Westie has joined us outside at the Maine Diner, Bob's Clam Hut, J's Oyster, Duck Fat (there are only a couple of tables so you have to score one), and we picked up sandwiches at the Cheese Iron in Scarborough and had a picnic.
Edit: Call the folks at Fetch Dog shop on Commercial Street in Portland and ask them this question. They'll be a great help.
