Post-Wedding brunch

Hi guys, could I get some recommendations for a post-wedding brunch?

We're planning for around 25 people, and would like somewhere that's not too casual, but at the same time where we won't be bothering people with all of us talking at once ;) The wedding itself will be on the cusp of downtown/uptown, and we'd like to stay close to that area for all the out-of-towners.

I'm think La Duni would be perfect, but my parents are pushing for something along the lines of the Malachite Ballroom brunch buffet at the Intercontinental. Does anyone know if hotels are still doing the old-school brunch buffets? I haven't lived in Dallas for a few years, so I'd really appreciate any up to date recommendations!

  1. Here's another brunch thread you may have already found ... http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/6701...

I've eaten in a private room at the Grape before. It felt a bit crowded, but I like the restaurant. They may also have others available.

I think you're on the right track ... for 25, a restaurant sounds soooo much better than a hotel. Tell your parents this is what the young people like ;)
