Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Ideas near Knox College Chapel?

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Would you kind folks have any suggestions for wedding rehearsal dinner venues near Knox College Chapel downtown? The exact address is 59 St George Street.

Budget is $30-40 per person and we're looking to fit between 27 and 33 people.

Would be great to have a nice private or semi-private area. Something warm, somewhat intimate, and not overly loud or casual.

As it's a family event, with diners from age 1 to 75, it will have to be on the conservative side.

  1. Your party might be big enough to get into some of the catering or private spaces. Massey College has an almost Baronial dining hall (designed by Robertson Davies). Hart House has the Gallery Grill. You might have critical mass to take over the space at the Gardiner Museum as well.

A bit further afield are Caren's Wine and Cheese Bar on Cumberland, or Vittorio's on Avenue at Dupont.

    1. Congratulations on your engagement! Cafe Nervosa in Yorkville is not too far and walkable. Perhaps you could reserve the entire top floor for your party? Panorama has a great view, especially for out-of-town guests and I heard they have a private dining room. The food is by Eatertainment, and I have tried a lot of their catering's delicious. I would also suggest looking up a couple restaurants on Harbord St. as it would be close enough to walk.
