dining in Boca

Hello, everyone.

We are New Yorkers who regularly visit my parents in Boca Raton and eat very, very badly when we do. Please help! What are your favorite restaurants in the neighborhood? Cuisine, price, and portion size are not major considerations - we just want a good meal. My parents do not like to travel far from home so please keep any recommendations close Boca. Thanks very much.

I second Sapporissimo - holy moly what a great place.
Also like both Renzo's restaurants on Federal Hwy.

For something different go to Delray Beach, Tramonte, Cut, Cugina Grill, Gol!, Cabana, Luna Rosa, Bamboo Fire, Dada, Vic and Angelos to name a few.

My favorites are Ristorante Sapori, City Fish Market, Truluck's, Renzo's, Mateo's, Ruth's Chris, and McCormick and Schmick's. You won't find a bad meal at any of those places

Where have you eaten when you've been down here in the past? Which places were bad?

Here are some of my favs in Boca. :)

Bagels - Gramercy Deli on Jog Rd, south of Linton, awesome bagels, nice deli counter too
Bagels - Way Beyond Bagels (more of a quick food/starbux type set up but very good spreads and A LOT of options)
Pastrami/Deli - Pastrami Queen
Gourmet Cheese & sandwiches - Cheese Course in Mizner Park
Pizza - Brooklyn Pizza (corner of 441 & Glades) near Boston Market - awesome pizza!
Saporrissimo - E. Palmetto Park Rd. - $$$$ but an awesome Italian restaurant, like dining in their homes
Chinese - Sieng House (Camino Real & 2nd Ave) very little ambience, closed on sundays, but really good local Chinese
Sushi - Japango - Shops of Woodfield Yamato & Jog
Sushi - BlueFin - Yamato & Congress
Max's Grill - Mizner Park great lunches, dinners, & brunch - a consistent Boca standard
