Hello! I have a last minute dinner with someone from out of town in Studio City tonight and don't know where to go. Casual is good. Medium price is good. Any cuisine is good.
Thank you, your help is appreciated!

Henry's Hat and Laurel Tavern are first to come to mind.

You better be kidding. Unless you are there for the Margaritas, chips and salsa why bother going. The food is suspect at best.

I happen to like the food at Laurel Tavern but unless you get there at 5:30, approximately one-half hour before they start serving food you will be hard pressed to get a table. The bone marrow was fabulous and the hamburger with blue cheese and bacon was incredible (and would have been better had I remembered to ask for raw onions). Also I cannot forget to mention the peppered steak fries as they are not forgetable. After 6:30 for those of advancing years the place beomes a younger set hangout for those looking to meet others. At my age that is also not a complaint since some young lady approached me and my friend to discuss the wine we had brought.
